Richard Baker, aged 29, found guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of Esther Bygrave, widow, and Ann Bygrave in the parish of Elstree on 30th October 1786: stealing therefrom 3 remnants of printed cotton measuring 68 yards (valued at £8.4/-), 14 yards of muslin (valued at £3.16/-), 26 yards of lawn (valued at £3.18/-), 4 muslin handkerchiefs (valued at 12/-), 6 lawn handkerchiefs (valued at 12/-), 4 loose shawls (value at 14/-), 10 silk handkerchiefs (valued at £1.18/-), 6 pairs of cotton stockings (value at 18/-), a linen sheet (valued at 5/-), a piece of calico (valued at 30/-), 2 pieces of Scotch gauze measuring 20 yards (valued at 10/-), a piece of black stuff measuring 30 yards (valued at £1.10/-), 26 cotton handkerchiefs (value at £2.12.-), 38 linen handkerchiefs (valued at £3), 3 pieces of Irish linen cloth measuring 70 yards (valued at £9), 3 other pieces of Irish linen cloth measuring 60 yards (valued at £8), a wooden till (valued at 6d) and £2.10/- in money numbered.
